Create and Sell PLR Products

Create and Sell PLR Products

You’ve probably heard a lot about profiting with Private Label Rights (PLR) products, but have you considered creating your own products and selling the private label rights to them? While lots of money is being made with PLR products, the creators of those Private Label Rights products are making much more.

Do some simple math. After the cost of advertising, and payouts to affiliates, if you are just selling the product without the private label rights attached, your overall profit will be much less than if you were selling that same product, and offering PLR. This is because when you sell the PLR, you are able to charge more for the product.

Furthermore, there is a very hungry market for private label rights products. Instead of selling to a consumer market, all of which have numerous choices when it comes to selecting a product, you will be marketing to the Internet Marketing crowd, who do not have a lot of choices when it comes to finding quality niche PLR products. For you, this means big money. There is nothing better than a hungry market!

Creating products for PLR purposes is really quite easy. You can do the work yourself, but you will be better off having a ghostwriter create your private label rights products for you. Hiring a ghostwriter doesn’t have to be expensive and you can offer your customers quality work in less time.

You can sell your private label rights products in PLR packs, or your can sell membership to a private PLR website – or you can do both. The choices are really unlimited. You could even just choose to sell one private label rights package, or choose to sell PLR packages in specific niches.

If you have an older product lying about, you can make it new again, and offer that as a PLR product as well. You can easily create ebooks, articles, and reports, or you can take on bigger projects and create software, audios, and videos with private label rights.

Opt-In List Building with PLR

List Building with PLR Products

Every experienced Internet Marketer, niche marketer & affiliate marketer knows that you need your own opt-in list to be successful. Even if you don’t consider yourself to be an Internet Marketer, if you are selling something for yourself or others, you need an opt-in list. There are numerous ways to build opt-in lists, and using private label rights products is one of the most effective methods.

A private label rights product is a product that you have the right to change and put your name on. You sell that product just as though you created it yourself. But you don’t have to sell it. You can also choose to give it away, and this is where opt-in list building and PLR products come together.

Everybody loves free stuff. The more valuable the free gift is, the more they like it and want it. PLR products are valuable – especially if you make changes to them that make them unique. These can be used as a giveaway when someone subscribes to your opt-in list.

You can also use PLR products as free gifts in Joint Venture Giveaways to help build your opt-in list. JV Giveaways are typically held for the purpose of list building, and they take place throughout the year. The idea is that a person who wants to download your free gift goes to your site, where you have a capture page set up. They give you their first name, e-mail address, and permission to e-mail them in exchange for the free gift.

Using PLR products as free gifts for opt-in list building purposes will not only help you build a great opt-in list, it will also save you a lot of time and money. Creating products takes time, and if you have to hire someone to do the work for you, it can cost a great deal of money. When you compare the cost of a PLR package to the cost of having a product created, the difference in price is astounding.

One caveat, though… Some PLR creators and Internet Marketers have recently started imposing restrictions on their PLR offerings, including restricting the rights to give the PLR or derivitive rights (MRR or Resell) away. While this IS deplorable, it’s a fact - so it’s necessary to check the Private Label Rights License that’s included with the original PLR file, or see their web site for the terms. NEVER try to use PLR products in any way not specifically allowed by the terms and conditions - this can lead to reprecussions from being branded with a bad reputation to law suits. Be sure the PLR product you choose allows you to give them away, such as those with totally unrestricted Private Label Rights from the FreePLR giveaway event.

Using PLR Articles

Using PLR Articles On Your Website

You may not realize this, but many websites have been completely filled with content using nothing but private label rights articles. In fact, if the website owner is doing it right, you will never be able to tell if PLR articles were used to build website content. PLR articles offer a viable solution for building a small or large content site in a very short period of time.

Content websites are used for many purposes, such as niche marketing, AdSense, and membership websites. PLR articles can be used to build any of these sites. It’s all in how you use the articles on your site that counts.

First, all articles should be rewritten and given new titles. This is vital. The search engines may penalize you for using content that is found on multiple sites. So, make sure you either rewrite the articles, or hire a ghost writer. The articles can say the exact same thing, as long as they use different words to say it.

Next, you want to make sure that they articles are properly targeting your keyword, using the keyword density that you prefer. Keyword density is up to you. Some experts believe that 2% density does the trick, while others believe you should use 6% to 8% keyword density. If you aren’t sure how to figure keyword density, here is the formula:

Number of words in the article X preferred density% =
Number of times keywords should be used in the article

For example, if you have a 400 word article, and you want a keyword density of 2%, your keywords should be used approximately eight times in the article. If you want a density of 6%, you would use the keywords 24 times. So, double check your PLR articles to ensure that you have the density that you want, and if you don’t, change them until you do.

PLR, MRR, RR…

PLR, MRR, RR… What Are Your Rights?

There is often a great deal of confusion among newcomers in the Internet Marketing community concerning the various different products that come with different types rights. You may have give away rights, resell rights, master resell rights, or private label rights. Here is some information to help you understand what each of those different rights means to you.

Give Away Rights – This type of license allows you to give the product away as a bonus or incentive. You will not be allowed to sell it, and in most cases, you will not be allowed to change the product. You may, however, be able to brand it, which means that you can put your name on it and change any affiliate links inside the product to your own.

Resell Rights – Resell rights allows you to resell the product. You may have the option of setting your own price, or you may not be allowed to sell the product for more or less than certain amounts. Resell rights do not entitle you to change the product, or to put your name on it as the creator in most cases. It also does not give you the right to resell the resell rights to others.

Master Resell Rights – Master resell rights are the same as resell rights, with one difference. With master resell rights, you do have the right to sell resell rights, and possibly master resell rights to others.

Private Label Rights – Private Label Rights are the most lenient rights – and the best available. With Private Label Rights, or PLR as it is commonly referred to, you have the right to make any changes you want to make to the product. You have the right to put your name on it as the creator. You have the right to sell resell rights and/or master resell rights. You can literally do anything you want with the product.

It is always important to read the license agreement that should be included with the product to determine what kind of rights you have, and exactly what those rights entitle you to. Some PLR authors have recently started adding various restrictions to their PLR license, while others continue to offer unrestricted rights - always check the license file to be sure, and if in doubt check it out with the product’s originator or the marketer you purchased the PLR rights from.

Using PLR Effectively

Private Label Rights - Using PLR Effectively

If you’ve ever purchased any PLR products, you know that you aren’t the only one who made that same purchase. There are many ways to use PLR products for profit, and repackaging the product is the first step. But you can do more than repackage it.

Ideally, you want to repackage the product, but you also want to change the product. This is important, as this is how you make the product yours. When you’ve changed it, and you put your name on it, you will know that you really did create your own product, even though you did it by taking an existing product and changing it and expanding it.

You aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel. You are trying to make a profit. The majority of the products on the market today – both online and offline – are simply an expansion or even a variation of another product that already exists on the market.

Look at candles. There are many different brands and many different fragrances – and there are also many different package designs. In the end, they are all still candles, and still serve the same purpose. The same is true for cars. There are many different brands, colors, and designs, but in the end, they are all just cars that serve the same purpose. PLR products work the same way.

The information or the purpose of the product is the same – the package is different. The product may ‘sound’ or ‘read’ different – but in the end, it serves the purpose that it was originally intended for as far as the consumer is concerned.

So, take a look at your PLR products. Determine how you can repackage and rework them to make them your very own – and to make them something that you can be proud to put your own name on!

Private Label Rights

Private Label Rights - PLR Explained

©2007 Doug Champigny

There is a lot of chatter online about PLR products. In case you aren’t sure exactly what PLR is, it stands for Private Label Rights, but the title alone doesn’t explain what it is. In fact, many people confuse it with other types of rights, such as Resell Rights, which is completely different.

When you purchase a product that has Private Label Rights, you usually have the right to:

• Change the product in any way that you choose. You can rewrite it, redesign it, or even rename it – whatever you want. You can completely recreate the product – or you can choose not to change anything about it at all (not advised).

• The rights to sell the product for any price you choose or give it away as a bonus or incentive, as you see fit.

• The right to put your name on it as the creator.

Essentially, when you purchase a PLR product, you are purchasing a product that you can call your very own. This makes it possible for people who have no product, no product idea, or no product creation budget to start their own businesses, with little or no hassle.

Because PLR products make getting into business so easy, they have become very popular. In the Internet Marketing crowd, it seems that everybody is either looking for PLR products or creating products that they can sell to others as PLR products. No matter which side of the fence you find yourself on, PLR is big business.

As with anything else, some PLR packages are good, and others are just the same old rehashed stuff. For ideal higher quality PLR products, seek out those that are limited to a certain number of people. These are often higher priced – but well worth that price in the long run.
