Market Testing with PLR

Market Testing with PLR Products

A great deal of time, effort and expense goes into creating a product. Unfortunately, many people create products without thoroughly testing the market to see how that product will do first. This is a mistake that not only costs a lot of money; it can virtually put you out of business before you even get started!

There are many ways to test a market. This is often done with affiliate products that are related to the product that you want to create. You simply set up a Google AdWords campaign for that product’s pre-sell page on your website, and activate it. You can even test multiple products that are related to your topic in this way.

You can also market those affiliate products to your list, if you have one. You determine how successful your own similar product will be based on the sales of the affiliate product or products.

The beautiful part is that you get commissions from the sales that you make, and if you are doing the Google AdWords effectively, your commissions will cover the cost of those campaigns, and possibly even result in a profit, which in turn can be used to create your own product.

PLR products can also be used to test the market. In fact, they are used just the way that affiliate products are used, except that you can put your name on them, and you keep all of the profits from the sales, as opposed to just getting a portion of the sale.

After using PLR products to test a market, you should be able to determine whether or not to go forward with creating a new product for that market. Just make sure that it is different from the PLR product that you marketed, or that you change the PLR product significantly enough to make it a brand new, improved product.

Not only does this method make you more money and brand your name to those visiting the site or downloading the PLR product, but you can use it to build your own opt-in list in that niche - a list you can then use to market your related affiliate links to while you’re creating your own product within that niche.
